Terms of Use
Last updated: October 26, 2026
These terms apply to the interpret.events website, the organizer dashboard, the booth, the big screen and the pages attendees open on their phones. By buying or using Interpret, you agree to them. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to do so.
1. Who provides the service
Interpret is operated by Gabriel Silva Costa Consultoria em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda., Brazilian company registration (CNPJ) 41.697.730/0001-70, registered at Av. Roberto Silveira, 136, apto. 302, Icaraí, Niterói/RJ, CEP 24230-165, Brazil. When these terms say “Interpret”, “we” or “our”, they mean this company, which is the party to the service agreement.
2. The service
Interpret is AI-powered simultaneous translation software for events. Stage audio becomes translated captions and voice on each attendee’s phone and on the big screen, with transcripts, summaries, audience questions and reports, depending on the package and features purchased. Online training and on-site operation, when included in the proposal, exist to help you run the software at your event.
3. Accounts and access
- The organizer creates the dashboard account and is responsible for the team members they invite and for what they do in it.
- Keep passwords and access codes safe. Tell us at [email protected] if you suspect misuse.
- Attendees do not need an account. Some events ask for a name, email or access code, as set by the organizer.
4. Orders, pricing and payment
Every purchase starts from a proposal stating the price, hours, languages, audience and payment terms. The price depends on the package, session hours, translated languages, concurrent audience and included services; see how pricing works. Any extra hour is charged at the rate stated in the proposal.
- Customers outside Brazil. Prices are in US dollars, paid by credit card only. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle processes the payment, issues the receipt, collects applicable taxes and handles refunds for these orders, under the Paddle buyer terms. Prices exclude taxes: the sales tax, VAT or GST due in your country is added on top at checkout. A business with a valid VAT ID in the European Union or the United Kingdom is not charged VAT.
- Customers in Brazil. Prices are in Brazilian reais, paid by Pix, boleto or card and processed by Asaas. Interpret is the seller and issues the Brazilian tax invoice (nota fiscal).
- One-off event. In Brazil, paid in the installments and on the dates set in the proposal. Outside Brazil, paid in full by card when the contract is signed.
- Monthly plan. Billed in advance on the same day each month until cancelled. Unused hours do not roll over. You can cancel at any time from the dashboard, and access continues until the end of the paid month. If a payment fails, use is blocked three days after the end of the paid month until the balance is settled.
Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund Policy.
5. Acceptable use
When using Interpret, you must not:
- use it for unlawful purposes, fraud, spam or to deceive people;
- stream or generate illegal, hateful or harassing content, non-consensual sexual content, deepfakes, or content exposing other people’s personal data (doxxing);
- impersonate anyone’s voice or identity without authorization, or make it appear that a person said something they did not say;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other third-party rights;
- try to bypass the AI’s safeguards (jailbreaking), upload malware, probe or attack our infrastructure, scrape the service or interfere with other customers’ use of it;
- resell the service without a written agreement with Interpret.
6. Event content and AI output
- Your content stays yours. Audio, slides, glossaries and what the audience submits remain the property of the organizer and their authors, and so do the captions, translations, transcripts and summaries generated from them. You license us to process this content only to deliver the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Rights and notices. The organizer confirms they have the right to stream and process what is said at the event, and tells speakers and attendees about AI translation and, when enabled, recording.
- Accuracy. AI translation, transcription and summaries can contain errors, omissions or delay, especially with poor audio, strong accents, technical terms or overlapping speech. Do not rely on the output as the only source for medical, legal, financial or safety-critical communication without human review. You are responsible for how you use the output.
7. Intellectual property
The software, the Interpret brand, the website and the documentation belong to Interpret. A purchase grants the right to use the service for the contracted period and does not transfer ownership. We may use feedback you send us to improve the product, with no obligation.
8. Infringement reports and moderation
If content streamed through Interpret infringes your rights, write to [email protected] identifying the content, the event and the right affected. We may remove or block content, such as audience questions, that breaks these terms, and we terminate accounts that repeatedly infringe.
9. Availability
We work to keep the service stable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Quality also depends on the venue’s internet, the audio fed to the booth and attendees’ devices. Scheduled maintenance avoids times with booked sessions.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated violations. You may stop using the service at any time; amounts already paid follow the Refund Policy.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Interpret is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss caused by third parties, and our total liability for a purchase is limited to the amount paid for it in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits rights that consumer protection law gives you.
12. Privacy
Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, and the courts of Niterói/RJ have jurisdiction, without prejudice to a consumer’s right to sue in their own place of residence.
14. Changes and contact
When these terms change, the date at the top changes too and we email customers with an active agreement. Questions: [email protected] or WhatsApp +55 21 97257-5608.
